In the Lepel district, as part of the "For Safety Together" campaign, fire prevention work continues with the inspection of citizens' households by prevention entities.
To monitor the safety of living conditions for citizens and prevent fatalities in fires, inspection commissions of the Lepel district were organised. The commissions included employees from the district emergency situations department, the territorial centre for social services for the population, healthcare, the gas service, and representatives of rural councils.
Participants in the campaign paid special attention to the most vulnerable categories of citizens: the elderly; single and lonely individuals; persons abusing alcohol; unemployed citizens; and families in socially dangerous situations.
During the raids, commission members checked the operational status of: gas equipment, autonomous fire alarms, wiring, and stove heating. Assistance was offered to elderly people by the territorial centre for social services for the population.
For homeowners where violations were identified, commission members set deadlines for rectification and designated responsible persons to oversee the resolution of the identified issues. Subsequently, letters will be prepared and sent to the children of elderly citizens, requesting assistance for their parents. If the individual is a lone citizen, the issue of providing state assistance will be considered.
Furthermore, commission members once again reminded all homeowners of fire safety rules and presented them with a leaflet on adhering to life safety regulations.
