An elderly resident of Polotsk sustained cuts to her face in a heating boiler explosion at her home, the press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Marina Fando, told a BELTA correspondent. At the time of the explosion, the woman, born in 1945, was outside near the house and was injured by window glass blown out by the blast wave. The victim has been taken to the central city hospital. As a result of the explosion, the boiler in the small boiler room was destroyed, and two doors and a window were blown out. The two-story residential building itself was not damaged and is suitable for further habitation. The preliminary damage is estimated at Br3 million.
