The improvement of the welfare of the population of Belarus, the development of technologies, and the availability of trade relations have enabled the rural population of the republic over the past 20-25 years to switch from stove heating, with an efficiency of 10-15%, to the use of domestic boilers, which provide higher quality heating of residential and other premises, in order to create comfortable living conditions in houses and cottages.

The improvement of the welfare of the population of Belarus, the development of technologies, and the availability of trade relations have enabled the rural population of the republic over the past 20-25 years to switch from stove heating, with an efficiency of 10-15%, to the use of domestic boilers, which provide higher quality heating of residential and other premises, in order to create comfortable living conditions in houses and cottages. Similar boiler units, used for heating and hot water supply and installed in rural shops, pharmacies, and other premises, with comparable power and operating principles, have served and continue to serve as an example for the population. Based on the principles of misunderstood economic interests, for the sake of known cost reduction, "thrifty" homeowners, and sometimes heads of small organisations, order boilers to be manufactured by "amateur handy craftsmen", without giving any thought to the dangerous consequences that the same physical processes ensuring the operation of boilers can cause, which under certain conditions become a formidable force, destroying everything in their path. The threat of the development of such processes and the occurrence of dangerous consequences for the environment is posed not only by homemade boilers but also by boilers manufactured in accordance with all rules and standards by specialised organisations, in case of deviation from the operating rules. Here are a few examples that most clearly demonstrate possible accidents with the indicated heating equipment. It is known that the beginning of the heating season in Belarus is characterised by positive air temperatures during the day. This contributes to a decrease in vigilance and a weakening of owners' control over the condition of boilers and pipelines. However, at night, frosty weather sets in, and frost leads to the complete or partial freezing of uninsulated pipelines and expansion tanks of heating systems. Their freezing already causes the absence of heat transfer fluid (e.g., water) circulation in the pipeline system, and this in turn causes an increase in pressure.
