Every year, due to careless handling of pyrotechnic devices, fires occur, and numerous burns of varying severity are sustained, affecting both adults and children, with injuries to eyes and hands. It is most regrettable to end up in a hospital bed on New Year's Eve, when everyone else is resting and celebrating. To avoid tragic consequences, it is essential to know:
· When purchasing pyrotechnic devices: pay attention to the expiry date, the instructions for use must be in Russian/Belarusian, and demand a certificate of conformity for the pyrotechnic device from the seller;
· Purchase pyrotechnic devices only in their original factory packaging;
· Store pyrotechnic devices away from heating appliances and out of reach of children;
· Do not carry pyrotechnic devices in pockets or under clothing, store them without packaging, or throw them;
· Do not use pyrotechnic devices with obvious defects: dented, wet, with cracks or other damage to the casing or fuse, and do not dismantle or modify finished pyrotechnic devices;
· Do not lean over pyrotechnic devices during use, and do not attempt to re-ignite them if they fail to ignite or the fuse burns out;
· Before using a pyrotechnic device, BE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
