18 August, Tolochin District /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The government intends to announce a tender for the supply of equipment for reconstructed dairy farms. This was announced to journalists today by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich during a working trip to the Vitebsk region, BELTA correspondent reports. Having considered the issues with the supply of equipment to the updated farms nationwide, the government decided to announce a tender among its manufacturers. "Some manufacturers have not approached price determination with full responsibility," believes Mikhail Myasnikovich. "We strive for prices to be affordable, and for imports to be minimized." Following the head of state's requirements on the need to implement modern technologies in animal husbandry, the government has revised its approaches to farm reconstruction and intends to commission 800 farms with milking parlors this year, instead of the 151 previously planned. "Centralized water supply, elimination of manual labor. There should be no primitive technologies on farms," emphasized Mikhail Myasnikovich. Nationwide, 1.2 thousand dairy farms are to be updated in 2012. -0-
