31 January, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The Government of Belarus has determined the resource saving indicator for 2011. The decision is contained in Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 83 of 25 January 2011, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian government. The document specifies that the resource saving indicator for 2011 is the ratio of the growth rate of production costs (works, services) to the growth rate of production volume (works, services) at current prices, excluding taxes and duties accrued from revenue, calculated based on state statistical reporting data. Tasks for resource saving in the form of a coefficient have also been established for republican government bodies, regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee. They, in turn, must differentiate and communicate the resource saving indicator for 2011 to the state organizations and business entities subordinate to them. The Ministry of Economy must approve the methodology for calculating the resource saving indicator within 15 days and, together with republican government bodies, monitor its implementation. Information on the fulfillment of this indicator for the first half of the year and for the year-end will be submitted to the government. The resolution was adopted in accordance with Directive No. 3 of 14 June 2007 "Economy and thrift are the main factors of the state's economic security." -0-
