12 November, Polotsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The government calls for a broad discussion of the draft forecast for the socio-economic development of Belarus for 2011-2015. This was stated today at a meeting with the work collective of OJSC "Polotsk-Steklovokno" by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergei Sidorsky, reports BELTA correspondent. The transition of the country to an innovative development path, based on the human factor, has been defined as the main program priority for the next five-year period. The main goal of the upcoming five-year period is the further growth of the welfare and improvement of living conditions of the population. The draft program provides for an increase in the real monetary income of the population in 2015 by 1.7-1.76 times compared to the 2010 level, based on ensuring GDP growth by 1.62-1.68 times, labor productivity by 1.63-1.68 times, and industrial production volume by 1.54-1.6 times. In the upcoming five-year period, according to the Prime Minister, the government intends to abandon quantitative indicators and evaluate the performance of producers based on the volume of commodity products obtained per workplace. Sergei Sidorsky invited citizens to actively discuss the draft forecast for socio-economic development in order to "submit a sound document for discussion by the participants of the IV All-Belarusian People's Congress." -0-
