The government has ensured the stable functioning of the social sphere, stated Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko today during a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the seventh convocation, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"At the core of this are the fundamental principles of the policy established by the Head of State, focused on the individual, their needs and interests. Within the framework of fulfilling the tasks assigned to the social bloc of the government, the main efforts are concentrated on achieving the set indicators of socio-economic development and unconditionally ensuring our strategic priorities aimed at strengthening human capital," said Igor Petrishenko.

According to him, the target orientation of the state policy remains unchanged and is aimed at ensuring a decent standard and quality of life for all citizens of the country. "The main task of the current period is to prevent a decrease in the real welfare of our population, and the volume and accessibility of state-guaranteed services," noted the Deputy Prime Minister.

Igor Petrishenko emphasized that pensions, benefits, and scholarships are financed in a timely and full manner in the country. No wage arrears have been allowed in the social sphere sectors.
