The unfortunate resident of the village of Olshanka, Chashniki District, on Victory Day, May 9th, decided to catch some fish, believing that on the holiday, inspection officers would be celebrating Victory Day. However, the offender's calculation did not pay off; he was apprehended on Lake Zherinskoye, Chashniki District, by officers of the Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora, who were on duty on the holiday. The poacher was caught red-handed, so to speak. He was found with three fishing nets, and his catch was quite modest: three tench and one crucian carp. An administrative report was filed against the citizen.
By the decision of the Chashniki District Court, this citizen will have to pay a fine of 540 rubles for his "festive" catch, as well as compensation for the damage caused to the environment, which, moreover, is calculated at triple the rate during the closed season and amounted to 1962 rubles. This is the kind of "gift" the unfortunate poacher gave himself for the holiday.
The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds everyone once again that people who wish to catch fish in this manner should think very carefully. Is it really worth it for them?
