On 8-9 September 2012, festive events dedicated to Lepel City Day were held. At the beginning of the celebration, off-road vehicles arrived at the square. 25 all-terrain vehicles participated in the Jeep Trial. The opening of the Jeep Trial took place. The procession of work collectives through the city streets to the city park was very spectacular and unforgettable. The rural councils of the district set up their farmsteads, where they invited guests and treated them to their dishes. At the entrance to the city park, there were: branded trade of city enterprises, an open-air exhibition of artists, potters and their students, and master classes in decorative and applied arts, playgrounds and attractions, sports entertainment, a photo exhibition "Lepel and Lepel Residents", and a fair of educational institutions.
During the festive days, Lepel residents and guests could also enjoy an exhibition of agricultural, industrial, and military equipment, small arms, and laser tag games.
An exhibition of the Belarusian artist Belynytsky-Birulya from the collections of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and a presentation of the book "Belynytsky-Birulya" took place at the Lepel Museum of Local Lore.
A theatrical performance "My Shores, My Charms" was held in the Summer Amphitheatre: the presentation of the "Honorary Citizen of Lepel City" award, the honouring of the best workers of Lepel City and Lepel District, the summing up of the results of the Lepel City beautification contest, as well as concert programmes by amateur art groups from Lepel District and Beshenkovichi RDK.
In the evening, residents and guests of the city were delighted by a concert of the professional group "Federation" from Minsk, a fire and laser show, and a festive fireworks display.
