August 15, Minsk /BELTA/. Proposals to improve the remuneration system for educators are being prepared in Belarus. This was announced on the program "Glavny Efir" (Main Broadcast) on the Belarus 1 TV channel by Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Kochanova, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"The Head of State has instructed to consider the issue of salaries (for educators. - BELTA note), because, of course, the work is not easy," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The status of teachers should be considered taking into account several aspects: state support, necessary working conditions for educators, and remuneration. Natalya Kochanova emphasized that this is a very responsible job, but it must be performed at a high level, therefore, the salary should be sufficiently high.

The current remuneration system for educators takes into account the presence of a category, teaching experience, and additional workloads. "That is, it is differentiated to some extent. Nevertheless, by carefully studying these issues again, we will make proposals regarding the salaries of educators," she said.

According to Natalya Kochanova, if educators perform their work at the proper level, meet the requirements set for teachers, and are proud of their profession, then, undoubtedly, their status will be sufficiently high.-0-
