Recently, Igor Martynov, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for the Lepel Electoral District No. 23, held a reception for citizens on personal matters at the district executive committee building.

Among the problems raised by the residents of our district were issues that could not be resolved in the office. As is well known, the most effective form of parliamentary work has always been and remains a personal visit to the site and a thorough study of the situation.

The deputy visited the Lepel district again on a working visit. Igor Felixovich addressed the attendees at a meeting of the presidium of the district council of deputies, and then, together with his assistant Viktor Stosh and the head of the administration of the Staysky rural executive committee, Svetlana Moroz, they went to the village of Stary Lepel to study the issue of improving the road leading to the "Spass" cemetery, which is impassable by car and in some places even on foot.

The deputy confirmed on site that the problem indeed exists. We could not reach it by car in the sunny spring weather.

Later, I learned interesting facts. Encyclopedic references name this part of our district as the place where Lepel was founded. A castle even existed here in the 16th century. According to a historical source, it was located on an island in Lake Lepel, opposite the village of Stary Lepel.

The road there goes down a steep slope. A beautiful garden once stood at its top, and to the left is a very old cemetery. It should be noted that it is not the only one there. In the more recent cemetery, inscriptions on monuments indicate that burials were carried out here even in the 2000s.

People are concerned that they will not be able to visit the graves of their relatives on Radunitsa, the day of remembrance of the deceased.

A woman has had a long-standing conflict with her neighbor. According to her, the man does not let her live peacefully. But the biggest problem for the fellow villagers is the boundary of their plots.

Igor Felixovich studied the appeal, after which it was decided to go to the site, see everything with his own eyes, and meet with both parties.

Such conflicts are a very common occurrence. It so happens in life that we meet our neighbors more often than our relatives.

Sometimes they know more about us than friends and colleagues. It is they who can make our lives pleasant, or, as in this case, turn them into an endless problem-solving exercise.

As Igor Feliksovich explained, the road to the "Spass" cemetery in the village of Stary Lepel does not meet the requirements and needs repair. The situation was studied on-site and then discussed with the local authorities to find funds for this matter, which is important for the residents of our district.

Regarding the establishment of plot boundaries, the deputy believes that the boundaries of one neighbor's plot should be measured commissionally once more and brought into compliance with the court's decision. He advised the other neighbor to establish a fixed boundary of his land plot using a geodetic method through the State Enterprise "Project Institute Vitebskgiprozem," thereby legalizing it. After this, there will be no reason for conflicts.
