Online job fairs will be held until the end of January in the cities and districts of the Vitebsk region. The events will take place on the website e-vacancy.by.

Tomorrow, January 25, job fairs will be organised in the Dokshytsy and Orsha districts. Dokshytsy Central Regional Hospital, Borovoe sanatorium, Minsk Vegetable Factory State Enterprise, OJSC "BelAZ" - management company of the holding "BelAZ-Holding", and Dokshytsy Bakery will offer jobs here. Employers are looking for turners, machine operators, electric welders, doctors, nurses, and other specialists.

Job seekers from Novopolotsk on January 26 will be able to learn about vacancies at OJSC "Treyst №16, g.Novopolotsk", OJSC "SRSU-3 g.Novopolotsk", and Naftan. Drivers, programmers, turners, electricians, crane operators, and aerial platform operators are required here.

In Vitebsk, an online meeting with employers will take place on January 28. OJSC "Stroitelny Treyst №9, g.Vitebsk", "Avtotransportnoye Predpriyatiye №4", LLC "Management Company of the Holding "Belorusskaya Kozhvenno-Obuvnaya Kompaniya "Marko", the regional diagnostic centre, and the territorial centre for social services of the Railway district of the city have announced more than 60 openings for potential employees.

Two more online job fairs will be held on the last day of the month - January 31 - in Polotsk and Chashniki districts. In the latter region, jobs will be offered to people with disabilities.

Participants of the job fairs will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with vacancies and working conditions in detail, ask questions of interest, submit their CVs, receive electronic consultations, and invitations for interviews in real-time. After the event, vacancies will be saved in the republican vacancy database on the website gsz.gov.by.

Over the 12 months of last year, more than 20,000 people applied to the employment service of the Vitebsk region for assistance in finding employment. Of these, 9.4 thousand citizens were registered as unemployed. This figure decreased by 9% compared to the 2020 level. From January to December 2021, 15.8 thousand residents of the region who applied to the employment service found permanent employment. As of January 1, 2022, the vacancy database in the Vitebsk region listed 8.9 thousand job openings. Compared to the beginning of last year, their number increased by almost 38%, when 6.4 thousand vacancies were offered.
