Enterprises in the Vitebsk region will expand the practice of material incentives for employees who lead a healthy lifestyle. This decision was made at a meeting of the regional Council for Social and Labor Issues, reports a BELTA correspondent.
According to Viktor Lugovtsov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association, the state's current policy in the social sphere is aimed at the most valuable asset – preserving the life and health of citizens. Trade unions consider this task a priority in their activities and do everything possible to encourage employees who engage in physical culture and sports, lead a healthy lifestyle, and participate in mass sports events.
The practice of collective bargaining regulation shows that many work collectives in the region are already implementing measures for moral and material incentives for such employees. "At the same time, our task is to expand this practice. For this purpose, primary trade union organizations will now themselves initiate the inclusion of provisions in local tariff agreements and collective agreements aimed at moral and material incentives. This includes the purchase of subscriptions for physical activities at the expense of enterprises or on a parity basis with trade union organizations, or full or partial reimbursement of their cost to the employee," said the deputy chairman.
Viktor Lugovtsov also emphasized that not all organizations have the opportunity to include measures to encourage employees. Trade unions intend to work more closely with the management of such organizations so as not to exclude collective agreement provisions on organizing health and mass sports events, but to temporarily suspend their implementation until the situation at the enterprise improves, as was the case at Naftan OJSC at one time.
