On January 11, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Enterprises of the Vitebsk region annually provide non-residents with 25 types of services, the Committee for Economy of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. According to preliminary results for 2011, the growth rate of services export across the region exceeded 150%, and the balance of trade in services was positive. Transport services account for the largest share in the export volume, over 70%. These include services of road transport, pipeline, and railway transport. Last year, they were provided 1.5 times more than in 2010. The export of tourism services increased by more than a quarter, and healthcare services by over 60%. At the same time, services related to construction work, equipment adjustment and maintenance, and consulting services for specialists of local enterprises and organizations abroad are practically not provided in the region and are increasingly imported. In 2012, the region intends to increase services export by 10% compared to 2011. -0-
