31 January, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Enterprises of the Vitebsk region plan to allocate about Br15 trillion for the implementation of modernisation projects and effective development measures within 2013-2015, the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.

Among the most significant projects for 2013, the Regional Executive Committee named the continuation of the construction of a production line for powders for the glass industry at OAO "Dolomit". Furthermore, OAO "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" plans to increase the output of fibreglass and fibreglass reinforced plastic products by expanding the two-stage fibreglass production section in workshop No. 12, as well as organising the production of structural glass mats. OAO "Naftan", within the framework of the Development Programme for 2010-2015, will acquire equipment for the reconstruction of hydrotreating units L-24/7, primary oil refining unit AT-8, and vacuum unit AVT-2. OAO "Keramzit Gravel Plant" will complete the construction of a workshop for the production of expanded clay concrete products with a production capacity of 100 thousand cubic metres per year.

The main sources of project financing will be credit resources and the enterprises' own funds. In 2013, the region will continue to implement over 500 measures for the realisation of modernisation plans, for which Br5.7 trillion will be allocated. The implementation of these projects will make it possible by the end of 2015 to ensure an average monthly salary equivalent to at least $1,000 and to increase revenue per employee to over $100,000.

A programme for the development of the industrial complex of the Vitebsk region, designed for the period up to 2015, has been implemented in the region since 2010. Since the beginning of its implementation, during the period 2010-2012, 383 measures for technical re-equipment and modernisation of production facilities have been carried out, with almost Br8.7 trillion allocated. The implementation of these projects has made it possible to generate revenue from the sale of products, works, and services equivalent to $83.8 thousand per employee for the 11 months of 2012.

In the Vitebsk region, 1,137 organisations out of 1,156 legal entities are implementing modernisation plans and effective development measures for the period up to 2015. In 2012, the volume of investment in fixed assets in industry exceeded Br5 trillion and accounted for 36.8% of the total volume of investments attracted to the region's economy.-0-
