10 February, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets demanded that the heads of districts accelerate the work on the reconstruction of dairy farms. He stated this today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, according to a BELTA correspondent. This year, 228 dairy farms are to be reconstructed in the region. At the same time, all of them must keep at least 500 heads of cattle after reconstruction. Currently, 176 farms have been surveyed to determine the scope of work, and work is underway at 20 facilities. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee considers the assurances of some managers that by starting work in May, they will be able to complete it on time and master all allocated funds, to be unjustified. "Work must be started at all farms as soon as possible," demanded Alexander Kosinets. In his opinion, sponsors' funds should be attracted to participate in the reconstruction of farms with a shortage of resources. Chairman of the Committee of State Control of Belarus Alexander Yakobson, who took part in the meeting of the Regional Executive Committee, reported that currently in Belarus, work is underway at 45% of the dairy farms subject to reconstruction. At the same time, in the Minsk region, work has begun at 94% of the total number of facilities. "Farm reconstruction is serious work that needs to be done. It is not easy in financial terms, but it is solvable," Alexander Yakobson is confident. In his opinion, the proposal of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee to attract sponsors' funds with a lack of own resources of the farms deserves attention.-0-
