On September 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The UNDP/UN Representation in Belarus will familiarize itself with the experience of using energy-efficient technologies at Vitebsk Open Joint Stock Company "Keramika" on September 30, Olga Samsonova, Public Relations Specialist of the UNDP/GEF "Energy Efficiency in Belarus" project, told a BELTA correspondent. OJSC "Keramika" has implemented four energy-saving measures in cooperation with the UNDP/GEF "Energy Efficiency in Belarus" project: it has built a mini-CHP plant running on natural gas based on gas piston units with a capacity of 2.8 MW; it uses frequency-controlled drives on centrifugal fans; it has replaced water-ring vacuum pumps with oil-filled ones; it has installed burners with stepped control of gas-air mixture compression and automation of combustion processes in the preparation zone of a two-channel kiln. In addition to visiting the enterprise, the management of the UNDP/UN Representation will familiarize itself with the results of energy saving activities in the Vitebsk region and will discuss with the leadership of the regional executive committee the preparation and implementation of possible new energy-saving measures. The delegation of the Representation will be headed by the UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus, Antonius Brook. -0-
