To prevent fires and other emergencies at facilities involved in the Easter celebrations according to the Orthodox and Catholic calendars, the inspection of supervision and prevention of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted fire prevention work at religious organizations' facilities (places of worship) in April of this year.

Particular attention was paid to the condition of heating systems, compliance with fire safety regulations when using open flames, availability of communication facilities, access to them, and personnel's knowledge of procedures in case of fire or other emergencies. During the fire prevention work, heads of places of worship received advisory and methodological assistance in organising fire protection for the facilities, practical drills for evacuation plans in case of fire were conducted, and briefings on fire safety measures were held with the managers.
