The Presidents of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, held a telephone conversation on the evening of February 19, during which they further discussed issues for the upcoming meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. The press service of the President of Belarus informed BELTA of the details.
"Indeed, a telephone conversation between the heads of state took place the previous evening. The Presidents further discussed the issues planned for consideration at the upcoming meeting of the Supreme State Council. As is known, it will be held next week in Moscow. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin synchronized their watches on the agenda of the upcoming event and the most pressing topics to be discussed both in a broad circle and one-on-one. Some issues of Belarusian-Russian relations were also touched upon during the conversation," the press service stated.
