The President of Belarus presented state awards to distinguished figures from various fields. Among those awarded were representatives from the Vitebsk region.

A solemn ceremony, attended by 40 people – employees of agricultural enterprises and service sector, educational, scientific and sports institutions, representatives of the army and law enforcement agencies – took place on November 5 at the Palace of Independence.

Among those who received state awards was a large group of rural workers: heads of leading agricultural enterprises, machine operators, milking machine operators, and employees of livestock complexes.

Among the awardees from the agricultural sector are also representatives from the Vitebsk region. The Order of Honour was awarded to Vyacheslav Krishtafovich, Director of OJSC "Khotily-Agro", Alexander Kukhtenkov, Director of SPC "Larinovka" of Orsha district, and Eduard Tonkonog, Director of KDU MP "Glubokskaya PMK melivodkhoz".

The title "Honoured Worker of Agriculture" was awarded to Alexander Firsin, Director of OJSC "Agrokombinat "Yubileiny".
