Following negotiations in Ulaanbaatar, Heads of State Alexander Lukashenko and Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh signed a treaty on friendly relations and cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia, BELTA correspondent reports.
In total, 14 different documents were concluded following the official high-level negotiations to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields. In addition to the treaty signed by the Heads of State, the most significant is the roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia until 2026.
A memorandum of cooperation was concluded between the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus and the Secretariat of the National Security Council of Mongolia; intergovernmental agreements on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses, and on mutual recognition of education documents were signed. A roadmap for cooperation in education at the level of the relevant ministries for 2024-2026 was also signed. Another roadmap concerns the development of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex for a similar three-year period. A treaty on scientific and technical cooperation was concluded between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, and an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences was also signed. A number of other memorandums were signed. They concern cooperation in the fields of justice, tourism, environmental protection, prevention and liquidation of emergencies, and protection of industrial property.
