The CSTO member states' presidents consider unacceptable any attempts to use political and economic pressure between states, including against CSTO member states, bearing in mind that only equal and respectful dialogue can help resolve disagreements between them. This is stated in the declaration of the heads of CSTO member states, adopted today in Moscow at the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The CSTO presidents advocated for enhancing the authority and relevance of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) within the system of modern international relations as a format for equal political dialogue, taking into account the interests of all OSCE states. At the same time, the heads of CSTO states consider it necessary to continue efforts to optimize the activities of OSCE institutions, including its missions, develop the OSCE Charter, streamline humanitarian events and the participation of non-governmental organizations therein, coordinate unified rules for election observation through the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, promote issues of tolerance and non-discrimination, and counter manifestations of neo-Nazism in modern Europe. The CSTO presidents supported the optimization of OSCE activities in countering transnational challenges and security threats, such as terrorism and religious extremism, organized crime, corruption, human trafficking, drug trafficking, and illegal migration. -0-
