During special operations, customs officers from Mogilev and Vitebsk established three instances of violations in the transportation of fruit over the course of a week. The movement of trucks carrying pears towards the Russian Federation was halted at the Belarusian-Russian border section.
In total, they contained approximately 60 tonnes of pears, valued at over 450 thousand Belarusian rubles.
None of the drivers could present the necessary transportation documents to the customs officers. They also lacked certificates confirming the safety of the products.
Vitebsk and Mogilev customs authorities have initiated administrative proceedings against the Belarusian carriers in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. According to the sanctions of the article, they will have to pay a fine of up to 50% of the value of the products.
