This year, applicants had a full week (from July 8 to July 15) to decide on their chosen specialty for admission to state-funded places. On the last day, all admissions committees will operate as usual. Their staff have been instructed on how to handle the final hours of document submission from applicants.
The document submission process for the current admission campaign has been largely steady and calm; however, each year there is a portion of applicants who prefer to calculate their scores and submit their documents in the final hours. On July 15, information on the progress of application submissions will be updated for the last time at 15:00. At 18:00, the committee will cease issuing documents to applicants for submission to other specialties, while still accepting documents from all applicants present in the university building after access is closed. Applicants submitting documents in the final days, after tracking competition and passing scores, should note that the passing score for certain specialties may increase on the last day. Practically all applicants with initially high scores (380-390) have already chosen where they will apply.
The dates for entrance examinations for higher education funded by the state and on a fee-paying basis differ. For example, at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Command and Engineering Institute of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, and the Gomel Engineering Institute of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, for full-time (daytime) and part-time education forms, the period is from July 16 to July 19. Entrance examinations at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, the Belarusian State Academy of Music, and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts for full-time (daytime) and part-time education forms are from July 16 to July 25. At other higher education institutions for full-time and part-time education forms (except for part-time education at agricultural universities), the period is from July 16 to July 21. At agricultural universities for part-time education, the period is from December 1 to December 20.
Enrollment of applicants for state-funded places in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as in the Institute of Border Guard Service and the Military Academy, will take place until July 23; in state academies of arts, music, and the University of Culture - until July 29; and in other higher education institutions - until July 25 (extramural agricultural specialties - until December 25). As for places for paid education, in higher education institutions of the security sector - until July 30; in higher education institutions of the cultural sphere - until August 1; in all others - until August 4 (extramural agricultural specialties - until December 25).
In total, in Belarus, training is conducted in more than 350 specialties at the first stage of higher education.
