March 3, Ushači / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Conducting citizen reception is an important form of working with the public, during which formalism must be avoided. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, after receiving residents of the Ushači district. In order to get a full and objective picture of the work of local authorities with the public, it is necessary to plan, along with conducting citizen receptions, meetings with work collectives. "This practice makes it possible to feel the situation in the region, to understand how issues that concern local residents are being resolved," noted Vladimir Andreichenko. At the same time, the speaker does not entirely welcome the practice of some officials holding direct telephone hotlines. "1-2 hours are allocated for this, although often only one person needs to be given enough time to understand the problem and provide specific assistance," believes Vladimir Andreichenko. Working with the public requires constant live communication, and then this form of work becomes very productive. In the practice of the deputy corps, there are many examples when, after citizen receptions, deputies bring interesting ideas from the field and use them in legislative work, added Vladimir Andreichenko. In general, the reception of residents of the Ushači district showed that the local executive committee is seriously engaged in solving citizens' problems. The issues raised are of a practical nature and will be gradually resolved, assured the speaker. For example, several appeals concerned the gasification of housing, and this issue is characteristic of many regions and is being resolved rapidly, noted Vladimir Andreichenko. -0-
