The deadline for applications for the republican competition of innovative projects has been extended to October 1, the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology informed BELTA.
Currently, 135 applications have been submitted for the competition, including 51 in the "Best Innovative Project" nomination and 84 in the "Best Youth Innovative Project" nomination. The largest number of projects are presented in the following areas: informatics, informatization and space research (18%); photonics, microelectronics, radio electronics and instrument engineering (17%); medical sciences and technologies (15%); nature management and ecology (14%); socio-economic, humanitarian and social sciences (12%) and mechanical engineering (10%).
For first place, winners and prize-winners of the republican competition of innovative projects will be awarded prizes in the amount of 60 tariff rates of the 1st category. For second and third place - 40 and 20 tariff rates, respectively. Among the winners and prize-winners of the competition, projects will be selected to receive a certificate in the amount of 400 tariff rates for further commercialization. This year, an additional nomination from the international scientific and production pharmaceutical company "Nativita" for biotechnologies in medicine and pharmaceuticals has also been announced. Its prize fund is $3,000 (in Belarusian rubles at the National Bank's exchange rate).
