A reconciliation agreement has been reached in two-thirds of the cases under the conciliation procedure considered by the Economic Court of the Vitebsk Region, reported Olga Kibisova, Head of the Judicial Practice Department, to a BELTA correspondent. Based on the results of work for January-September 2012, agreements and reconciliation agreements were signed between the parties in 574 cases under the conciliation procedure, which constitutes 77% of those considered. The concluded agreements allowed the parties not only to save on court costs but also to overcome the conflict, preserving opportunities for further cooperation, the interviewee emphasized. The Economic Court of the Region notes a continuing trend towards a reduction in the number of lawsuits filed with the courts due to an increase in cases considered under simplified procedures. Among all forms of court appeals, the share of order production cases for January-September of the current year, compared to the same period in 2011, increased by 20% and amounted to 74% of the total number of materials submitted to the court. There is a slight, 2%, increase in the total number of materials submitted to the Economic Court. The Economic Court is actively continuing to implement modern internet technologies in practice. Since the beginning of the year, judges have held 162 hearings using videoconferencing, which has allowed economic entities to save funds on business trip expenses, and their representatives – working time. -0-
