The Prosecutor's Office of Lepel District supported the state prosecution in court in a criminal case against a 49-year-old resident of Lepel District, who is accused of misappropriation of property by a person entrusted with it.
As established during the court investigation, the accused, being a materially responsible person of one of the district's enterprises, between 30.09.2024 and 23.10.2024, using a canister belonging to him, by connecting a hose to the fuel system of the "Belarus-82.1" tractor assigned to him, stole 223 litres of diesel fuel, for a total amount of 532 Belarusian rubles and 97 kopecks.
During the preliminary and court investigation, the man fully admitted his guilt. He stated that the motive for committing the crime was mercenary gain and the desire to use the entrusted diesel fuel for personal purposes.
The damage caused by the crime was fully compensated during the preliminary investigation by the discovery and seizure of the stolen diesel fuel by police officers at the accused's place of residence.
Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of Lepel District, based on Part 1 of Article 86 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, ruled to release the man from criminal liability for committing the crime provided for by Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, and to terminate the criminal proceedings by bringing him to administrative responsibility.
An administrative penalty in the form of a fine of 25 base units, amounting to 1,050 Belarusian rubles, was applied to the accused.
The ruling has entered into legal force.
