On November 26, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Direct contact with the public helps authorities address people's vital issues. This was stated to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, when answering a question from a BELTA correspondent after a direct telephone line with residents of the region. Direct telephone contacts between the chairman of the regional executive committee, his deputies, and the chairmen of district and city executive committees with the public have become almost weekly in the Vitebsk region. Thanks to this, many problematic issues that concern people have been resolved. "These direct lines help to see and learn a lot," said Alexander Kosinets. At the same time, some people's issues cannot be resolved as they contradict the laws, which has been confirmed by dozens of commissions. However, even in this situation, Alexander Kosinets demanded that officials patiently explain the reason for refusal and treat citizens attentively and kindly. "We need to help people adopt the correct point of view," he said. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee answered 32 phone calls over three hours. A significant portion of the questions concerned the timing and quality of capital repairs of housing stock, resettlement of residents from dilapidated housing, and prices for food and medicines. For all calls, instructions were given to the heads of committees and departments of the regional executive committee, and the chairmen of city and district executive committees, for the prompt resolution of people's life support problems.-0-
