On November 2, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. The international scientific and practical conference "Modern Problems of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry" will be held in Vitebsk on November 4-5. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Subbotin. About 200 scientists and specialists from research centers, as well as veterinary universities from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Israel, and Sweden, have shown interest in the scientific forum, which is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of veterinary education. The most representative delegation at the conference, along with Belarusian participants, will be the Russian team, which will include employees of organizations from almost 20 regions, from Primorye to the westernmost regions of Russia. The focus of the specialists will be on the issues of industrial animal husbandry development, creation and implementation of modern technologies in veterinary medicine, as well as technological support for livestock production. The main goal of the conference is to coordinate the educational and research activities of organizations to solve common problems facing veterinary science and education, as well as to exchange experience and expand cooperation in the implementation of joint research projects. Within the framework of the scientific forum, three sections will be organized, during which it is planned to present research results and discuss problems of livestock diseases, including the determination of the pathogenesis of new and previously unknown diseases, the development of advanced drugs, and the creation of vaccines. One of the directions of the specialists' dialogue will be issues of genetics and breeding, problems of keeping, feeding, and implementing breeding technologies in animal husbandry. Following the conference, a round table is planned to discuss the state and prospects of veterinary education development and research activities in veterinary universities.
