The fare on public transport in the Vitebsk region has increased since September 7, BELTA correspondent was informed at the transport and communications department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The cost of one trip on urban passenger transport (bus, tram, trolleybus) on regular routes for Vitebsk residents has increased by Br50 to Br800. The maximum permissible tariffs for urban passenger transportation on express buses weighing more than 5 thousand kg are set at Br1200, weighing no more than 5 thousand kg (minibuses) - Br1900 (for routes up to 16 km). The cost of a monthly travel pass for one type of transport (bus, tram or trolleybus) for Vitebsk residents is now Br30080, for any two types of transport - Br41140, for three types of transport (bus, tram and trolleybus) - Br49080. Tariffs for travel on urban public transport in district centers have also been increased. The new tariffs are established in accordance with the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee No. 578 of September 2, 2011. The decision was coordinated with the Ministry of Economy, signed at the Ministry of Justice and published in the newspapers "Narodnaya Slova" and "Vitsiebski Rabochy".
