Be attentive to casual fellow travellers who try to gain your trust or offer to share alcoholic beverages. For the purpose of committing criminal acts, fraudsters may add sleeping pills or psychotropic substances to alcohol and other drinks. Do not respond to suspicious requests to hand over parcels or other items to unknown persons in another locality. They may contain drugs and other substances and items prohibited in civilian circulation. Do not leave your belongings unattended while waiting for a train, during stops, when visiting the dining car, or in other places; do not entrust them to casual acquaintances or fellow travellers. Before arriving at your final destination, check that all your belongings are present, and when leaving the carriage, try not to leave luggage in the compartment, even for a short time. Do not place documents in an easily accessible, visible location. Keep money for small expenses separate from large sums. Fully charge your mobile phone before travelling. If you find unattended items, do not touch them, but immediately report them to a police officer, the carriage attendant, or another transport worker.
If an unlawful act has been committed against you, immediately report the incident to the police by calling 102, or to the train escort service on the train.
Observe personal safety measures:
Cross railway tracks only in designated areas, using pedestrian bridges, tunnels, and crossings.
Do not walk on railway tracks.
Do not cross or run across railway tracks in front of an approaching train if the distance to it is less than 400 metres.
Do not cross railway crossings when the barrier is closed or the red signal of the crossing lights is displayed.
At stations and on sections between stations, do not crawl under carriages or climb over couplers to cross the tracks.
Do not leave your belongings unattended on the platform or within railway transport facilities.
On 28.06.2018, for the purpose of ensuring public order, personal and property safety of citizens on regional trains, at railway stations and stopping points, a preventive campaign "Passenger Hour" will be held.
