A republican preventive campaign "Movement by the Rules" is underway in the Lepel district, aimed at preventing road traffic injuries involving vulnerable road users and individuals using personal mobility devices. The objective of the event is to ensure compliance with traffic regulations by all road users, as well as to foster mutual respect on the road.Until July 14, traffic police patrols will be organized in accident-prone areas and near pedestrian crossings.
Traffic police inspectors will focus on drivers and pedestrians, with slightly more attention given to cyclists and those using personal mobility devices.
Over the past period of the current year in the Lepel district, 187 traffic violations by drivers for failure to yield to pedestrians, 80 by cyclists, 19 by cyclists under the influence of alcohol, 426 by pedestrians, and 52 by pedestrians under the influence of alcohol have been recorded.
