From September 14 to 20, a preventive campaign titled "Where there's a den – visit this house!" will be held in the Lepel District to prevent unlawful behaviour among citizens. The main objective is to engage interested departments in taking additional measures aimed at preventing offences against life and health, particularly those committed in places where socially deviant individuals congregate, as well as to enhance the effectiveness of work on preventing unlawful behaviour, implementing comprehensive individual crime prevention measures, and applying preventive influence on individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle.
As part of this event, employees of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee, representatives of KUPP "Borovka", Lepel ROChS, the Prosecutor's Office of the Lepel District, as well as various organisations and public associations will inform citizens about the legal norms in force in this area, assistance provided to victims of violence, the operation of helplines, and the importance of timely informing the Department of Internal Affairs about individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle.
The Department of Internal Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee regularly conducts comprehensive measures to prevent domestic violence, as well as to prevent offences and crimes committed while intoxicated. To prevent serious crimes committed while intoxicated, 16 citizens have been sent to LTP (Therapeutic Labour Rehabilitation Centres) over the past 8 months, including 14 unemployed individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle. 59 medical commissions have been held to decide on the referral of individuals suffering from alcohol dependence and committing administrative offences while intoxicated to LTP.
If you have become a victim or witness of violence, do not wait for a tragedy! Act now! Also, if you have information about individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle, please contact the Department of Internal Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee by phone at 3 20 83, your local police inspector, or call the police at 102.
