To draw attention to the issue of children’s playing with fire and child fatalities in fires, reduce the number of emergencies involving children, and ensure their overall safety (at home, outdoors, during recreation, near water bodies, etc.), a preventive campaign titled “Do Not Leave Children Unattended!” will be launched in the Lepel district, as well as in all regional and district centers, from May 10 to June 1. This campaign is timed to coincide with the International Family Day and Children's Day.
To draw attention to the issue of children’s playing with fire and child fatalities in fires, reduce the number of emergencies involving children, and ensure their overall safety (at home, outdoors, during recreation, near water bodies, etc.), a preventive campaign titled “Do Not Leave Children Unattended!” will be launched in the Lepel district, as well as in all regional and district centers, from May 10 to June 1. This campaign is timed to coincide with the International Family Day and Children's Day.
The campaign will be held in 2 stages:
The 1st stage, from May 10 to May 19, will take place in locations with mass gatherings of people where parents spend time with their children. Here, "photo zones" and "Learning Safety Rules Together" play areas will be organized, where parents and children can participate in contests, quizzes, and games. In healthcare facilities (healthy child clinics, maternity clinics, parenting schools), sessions will be organized for young mothers.
During the second stage of the campaign, from May 22 to June 1, the focus will be on working with parents of preschool and primary school children. In preschool institutions and the first grades of general education institutions, parent-teacher meetings will be held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the topic "Preventing Child Injuries – Teaching Children Safety Rules!".
Preventive measures will also be carried out in large families, family-type children's homes, and families with problematic upbringing.
The campaign will conclude on June 1, International Children's Day, which is traditionally organized in the City Park of Lepel. The program includes thematic contests, games, concert programs, and creative performances, educational and play areas, and demonstrations of rescue equipment and vehicles.
Additionally, as part of the campaign, a sports competition for children and their parents titled "Mom, Dad, We Are Strong in Safety," a video contest "Family of Safety," and a competition for children titled "I Would Be a
«Rescuers are on the go!» (for the best thematic design of children's costumes for rescuers, prams, tricycles, pedal cars).The results of the district competitions will be announced on June 1, International Children's Day, at Freedom Square in Lepel, as part of the final event of the «Do Not Leave Children Alone» campaign.
