On October 31, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The "Rodnik" health resort in Novopolotsk was sold today for Br1.305 billion at an auction organised by the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund, a BELTA correspondent reports. The bidding was conducted using the method of reducing the initial price. The lot included a six-story building with a total area of almost 4.5 thousand sq.m, a fountain with an area of 53 sq.m, utilities, as well as a small structure with two artesian wells. Attempts to find a new owner had been made 11 times since 2008. The initial sale price of the lot was set at over Br6.4 billion, with the minimum sale price being around Br1.305 billion. Two bidders showed interest in the property, and the winner managed to acquire it at the minimum established price. The winner was the Novopolotsk OJSC "Belsplat". According to a representative of the joint-stock company, the new owner plans to maintain the profile of the property complex, creating a modern sanatorium and enhancing the traditions of recreation and health improvement. Employees of the enterprise will primarily have the opportunity to improve their health as an additional bonus to their social package, as well as employees of other organisations in Novopolotsk and Polotsk. In the future, foreign guests will also be able to visit. Along with the real estate, the auction winner acquired the rights to a 20-year lease of two land plots with a total area of over 2.2 hectares for the maintenance of the sanatorium-resort and artesian wells of mineral water.-0-
