As part of career guidance activities, Alexander Kalinichenko, Head of the Department for the Protection of Wildlife, Water Bodies and Hunting Grounds of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, met with pupils of the Domzheritskaya Secondary School in Lepel District.
The pupils learned about professions in the forestry sector, asked questions about the possibility of obtaining specialities in high demand directly within the reserve, and were interested in educational institutions where such specialities can be acquired.
Following the theoretical part of the event, the pupils had the opportunity to view an exhibition of poaching tools, during which the children's attention was drawn to the work carried out in the reserve to combat poaching.
At the House of Environmental Education, the pupils also viewed the photo exhibition "Wild Nature of Belarus," featuring the best works by the Club of Wildlife Photographers of Belarus.
The environmental protection field of activity interested many of the children. Some schoolchildren shared that they wish to pursue a profession related to nature conservation or tourism and to be employed at the reserve after their studies.
