More than 1.5 thousand participants will gather for the youth trade union forum "Student Autumn" in the Vitebsk region, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the regional trade union association.
The forum is being held for the third time. On November 14, it will open in Minsk, and on November 15-16, events will take place in the regions. In the Vitebsk region, "Student Autumn" will bring together students from six higher education institutions.
"This year, the forum will be held in regional cities for the first time. In Vitebsk, it will be opened by a seminar on "The Role of Trade Unions in Shaping Civil Society". Representatives of trade union organisations, management of higher and secondary educational institutions, and authorities will engage in dialogue with the youth. A gala concert featuring the best creative groups and performers from educational institutions of the northern region will be held at the "Vitebsk" concert hall," the trade union association stated.
During the forum, participants will visit the largest enterprises, institutions, and organisations in the Vitebsk region. Among them are SOOO "Belvest", OJSC "Vitebskiye Kovry", OJSC "Naftan", SPC "Olgovskoye", Gymnasium No. 7 of Vitebsk, and the regional clinical hospital. Young people will have the opportunity to learn more about the nuances of professional activities, familiarise themselves with the experience of trade union organisations, additional guarantees provided to young specialists, and collective agreements. Throughout "Student Autumn", exhibitions of career guidance, image products, and university media will be held.
The youth trade union forum "Student Autumn" is designed to stimulate active participation of students in the social life of educational institutions and to popularise activities aimed at protecting the social and labour rights of students and working youth. The events are aimed at promoting youth employment, reducing the outflow and retaining young specialists in their workplaces, as well as establishing constructive dialogue between graduates and enterprise management.
