The program will be implemented in selected secondary schools in Belarus as an optional physical education course. "We are paying special attention to the development of mini-golf among children and youth. The future of golf in Belarus largely depends on how popular it becomes among the younger generation. The association is making maximum efforts to develop this sport, which is popular abroad," said Vladimir Drazhin.
More than 40 representatives from regional sports and tourism departments, education departments, district administrations of the capital city, specialists from centres for physical education and sports for children and youth, and secondary school teachers participated in the seminar, which was held at the Belarusian State University of Physical Education. All participants received not only theoretical but also practical knowledge of playing mini-golf. Two mini-golf facilities have already been commissioned in Mogilev and Minsk. According to Vladimir Drazhin, in the future, the association aims to build one training and one championship course in each region.
