Open Joint Stock Company "Trud-Vitebsk" has mastered the production of disposable underwear for medical institutions, the Economics Department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Belarus effectively lacks large-scale producers of such products despite their significant consumption in medical institutions. OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" participates in the import substitution program as a manufacturer of medical devices - disposable clothing and accessories. For the first quarter of the current year, import-substituted products worth $24.3 thousand were supplied to the domestic market. The production of dressing materials has been established at LLC "Galteyafarm". The enterprise has already produced import-substituted products worth $800 thousand. As noted in the City Executive Committee, the city's industrial enterprises are carrying out targeted work on the technical re-equipment and modernization of production facilities, and the development of innovative and import-substituted products. As of early May, out of 84 enterprises in the city, 60 are producing innovative products. 14 enterprises, or 17% of the total number of enterprises, achieved a share of innovative products of 32% or higher. -0-
