The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds! During a thunderstorm, first of all, turn off all electrical appliances and unplug the external antenna from the TV, and stop phone calls. Then try to eliminate drafts, close windows and chimneys tightly. Do not stay near windows, stoves, fireplaces, massive metal objects, on the roof, or in the attic.
Stay away from tall, isolated trees, poles, power lines, and do not stand near a bonfire, as a column of hot air is a good conductor of electricity.
Be sure to get out of the water, move away from the shore, and take shelter. If you are in a boat, row to the shore immediately. Fishing during a thunderstorm should be stopped, as fishing gear is a conductor of electricity.
Thunderstorm is an unpredictable and quite dangerous phenomenon, however, competent actions during its occurrence will help you avoid unpleasant consequences!
