According to the case materials, in December 2025, a man, while
under the influence of alcohol, and in the course of suddenly arising personal animosity, intentionally struck citizen Ya. with a knife to the face

as a result of which the young man sustained a wound to his right cheek extending to the lip, which is classified as a minor bodily injury due to temporary health disorder. The scar on the victim's cheek, formed from the aforementioned healed wound, is indelible and disfigures the face, therefore the bodily injury inflicted by the perpetrator is classified as grievous bodily injury due to indelible facial disfigurement.
In the court hearing, the accused did not admit guilt.
Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of Lepel District passed a guilty verdict.
Based on Part 1 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the accused was sentenced to restriction of liberty for a term of
3 years and 6 months without being sent to an open-type correctional institution.
The verdict has entered into legal force.
