The Prosecutor's Office of Lepel District supported the state prosecution under Part 2 of Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
A previously unconvicted 32-year-old citizen residing in Lepel, who was obliged by a court order of the Lepel District Court to reimburse the expenses for the maintenance of minor children in state care, and who was employed, embarked on a path of evading reimbursement of expenses incurred by the state for the maintenance of her minor children in state care, as a result of which she committed 15 unexcused absences from work between January and April 2020. As a result of the criminal actions of the resident of Lepel, the state failed to receive more than 80 Belarusian rubles for the maintenance of minor children during the aforementioned period.
The court recognised the accused's sincere remorse as a mitigating circumstance.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court found the citizen of Lepel guilty and imposed a sentence of 180 hours of community service.
