A previously unconvicted 49-year-old native of Lepel, in early November 2019, while intoxicated, visited an acquaintance to borrow money, but was refused.
The Prosecutor's Office of Lepel District supported the state prosecution in court under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
A previously unconvicted 49-year-old native of Lepel, in early November 2019, while intoxicated, visited an acquaintance to borrow money, but was refused. She noticed a wallet on the windowsill and decided to steal it. Upon returning home, she found only a bank card in her acquaintance's wallet. Using her acquaintance's bank card, she repeatedly made purchases of groceries and alcoholic beverages in a shop, for a total amount of 41 Belarusian rubles and 75 kopecks. The native of Lepel voluntarily reimbursed the funds stolen from her acquaintance's bank card.
Both during the preliminary investigation and the court proceedings, the native of Lepel fully admitted her guilt in the theft of property by entering false information into a computer system, combined with unauthorised access to computer information.
Taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, the court of Lepel District found the native of Lepel guilty of committing the crime provided for by Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced her to a fine of 35 base units, amounting to 945 Belarusian rubles.
This sentence of the Lepel District Court has entered into legal force.
