Belarus will not just be threatened with new sanctions, but will be subjected to them. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting on the draft law "On Amendments to Laws on Banking Activities," as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Currently, it is particularly important that all branches of power and state administration bodies work in close coordination. Only together can we ensure the mobilization of resources in the most important areas of sustainable economic development," Alexander Lukashenko noted. "Banks and the National Bank, as the regulator of the entire banking system, should play a key role here."
At the same time, the President demanded that everyone not relax: "Russia is being stuffed with additional sanctions, and so that there is no way to circumvent them through us, we will also be not just threatened with additional sanctions, but subjected to them."
