Conducting preventive measures aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving and caused by pedestrians "A great pedestrian is one who follows the rules!"

In order to prevent road traffic accidents caused by or involving pedestrians, and to prevent violations of the Traffic Regulations by such persons, preventive measures are being carried out in the Lepel district during the period of March 17, 2020.

During the implementation of these measures, officers of the internal affairs department of the Lepel District Executive Committee will conduct: awareness-raising and explanatory activities; police officers in high-visibility vests will be on duty at accident-prone sections of streets and roads; using video recording equipment, streets and roads will be patrolled to identify violations of pedestrian crossing rules and to apprehend pedestrians violating the Traffic Regulations, including those under the influence of alcohol; a monitoring of lighting and the presence of necessary traffic control devices will be carried out.
