26 October, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Holding mobile receptions for citizens by high-ranking officials remains relevant. This opinion was expressed today to a BELTA correspondent by the Prosecutor General of Belarus, Alexander Konyuk, who was holding a reception for citizens on personal matters at SOOO "Marko" in Vitebsk.
"There is a point in holding receptions, as they help people resolve pressing issues," emphasized Alexander Konyuk. He noted that the result of this work is a decrease in the number of citizens' appeals. "I remember the first year when I started working, 20-30 people came, now it's significantly fewer, and the issues are not very complex. Thus, the relevance of holding receptions by high-ranking officials is maintained. Moreover, not everyone can travel to Minsk to resolve their issue, so it is important for the population," he added.
Ten people attended Alexander Konyuk's personal reception. The topics of their appeals were quite diverse. In particular, issues concerning the validity of court sentences, the legality of police officers' actions, facts of exceeding their official powers, land and housing matters were raised. For each appeal, the Prosecutor General of Belarus provided explanations and instructed representatives of the relevant services and departments to take control of the resolution of these issues. At the end of the reception, he held a meeting with the staff of SOOO "Marko".-0-
