The Pervomaisky District (Vitebsk) Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus will conduct an investigation into the attempted suicide of a minor resident of Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the official representative of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region, Inna Gorbacheva. "This decision was made taking into account the age of the victim and the circumstances of the incident," said Inna Gorbacheva, noting that the investigation period is 10 days. If a decision cannot be made within this period, it may be extended up to one month. On May 28, at approximately 9:20 PM, a girl born in 2000 fell from the seventh-floor window of a multi-story building on Maxim Gorky Street in Vitebsk. She fell six floors and landed on the entrance canopy. Ambulance crews arrived at the scene. The medics were unable to remove the fallen girl from the canopy on their own. She was lowered on a stretcher by rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and handed over to the medics. The victim, suffering from severe injuries, was urgently taken to the hospital. Fortunately, the girl survived. The 12-year-old resident of Vitebsk attempted suicide in response to her parents' disciplinary measures. The schoolgirl brought a stolen T-shirt from her sanatorium stay. The parents learned about the child's misconduct after a call from the health resort. It is unknown what disciplinary measures were taken by them, but the girl, left alone at home, jumped out of the apartment window.-0-
