Holidays in the Lepel region continue to be popular among residents of Belarus and neighbouring countries. From May 1st to August 9th of the current year, two thousand two hundred and eighty-nine people had a wonderful holiday and improved their health at the Lepel Military Sanatorium, 50 percent of whom were residents of Belarus, and the other half were our neighbours from Russia. Approximately seven thousand people holiday at the "Zhemchuzhina" Children's Rehabilitation and Health Centre annually.

New Equipment
New equipment is being acquired for the quality and detailed examination of patients at the healthcare institution "Lepel Central District Hospital". Recently, two endoscopic video towers were purchased, the use of which aids in more accurate diagnosis.
58 Little Ones
Summer brings warm, pleasant days and a bountiful harvest. This wonderful season has also been fruitful for the staff of the maternity ward at the healthcare institution "Lepel Central District Hospital". In June, 33 babies were born here, 21 in July, and four in August. More than twenty births are planned in the ward in the last month of summer.
Attracting Tourists
The state forestry institution "Lepel Leskhoz" pays significant attention to the development of the tourism business and hunting management. Tourists enjoy spending their free time at the Hunter's Lodge on the picturesque shore of Lake Dolgoe, located within the territory of the Zaosersky Forestry. In May, 66 people holidayed here, including eight from Moscow; in June, 55; and in July, 87. The number of tourists in August will be 31 people. Tourist services from the beginning of May to the present day have brought the forestry 73 million 808 thousand roubles in revenue. Revenue from hunting activities for June and July amounted to 64.6 million roubles.
